Brown County Holiday Season Happenings

The following is a list of Christmas and New Year’s Eve events planned for Brown County during the month of December. The list will be updated throughout the month:

  • Dinner with Santa Cow at Chick-fil-a – December 10th from 5pm to 7pm
  • Downtown Winter Celebration – December 11th from 4pm to 11pm – on Baker St & Brown St & Pat Coursey Park
  • Annual Live Nativity at First Christian Church located at 2411 Coggin Ave. – Saturday. December 11 and Sunday, December 12 – 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. each night
  • Cookies with Santa at Shaw’s Marketplace – December 11th from 10 am to 1 pm
  • Corks and Ribbons to benefit Brown County Boys and Girls Club – 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, December 11 at 401 Center Avenue, Brownwood
  • Bangs Christmas parade and live nativity – 6 p.m. Saturday, December 11. The parade will head down Fitzgerald, turn on 1st St., and end at Bangs City Park. At the conclusion of the parade, there will be a live nativity presented by Bangs First Baptist Church. Once the live nativity is over, Santa will arrive at the big pavilion at city park for photos.
  • 2021 Family Camp Christmas Festival at Heart of Texas Baptist Camp December 11th & 12th from 5pm to 9pm
  • Polar Express Experience at Lehnis Railroad Museum – December 11th & 18th from 6pm to 8pm
  • Christmas Carols at Pat Coursey Park with Victory Life Church – December 15th at 6:30pm
  • Victory Life Church Brownwood is having a Carols Downtown event on December 15th from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. It will be at Pat Coursey Park, family friendly, with hot chocolate, cider and Santa for the kids. All of it is free!
  • Free pictures with Santa at Coldwell Banker on December 17th from 2:00 to 5:00pm. Coldwell Banker is located at 1900 Austin Avenue in Brownwood.
  • Early will host a Buy Texas Holiday Market on December 18, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm, at the Early Visitors and Events Center. You will be able to shop products made and produced in Texas.  Bring the kiddos and get their picture taken with Santa.  For more information, call 325-649-9300.
  • Christmas on the Streets of Los Trece will be held Saturday, December 18, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The event will feature Santa, vendors, food, music and gunfights. Cost is $10 per person but kids 10 and under are admitted free. Los Trece is located at 3901 U.S. Highway 84/183 South in Early.
  • Cookie Exchange at Spirit of Texas Winery, 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. December 19
