Barbara June Bennett, age 89, of Brownwood, passed from this life on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
She was born April 20, 1932. She was married to Oscar Ray Bennett, was a Baptist and had lived in Brownwood most of her life. She worked as a cafeteria worker in food service.
She is survived by 5 sons, Johnny, Jimmy, Robert, Richard, and Curtis all of Brownwood and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Jerry, brother, Jimmy Golden, and two sisters, Laverne and Joan.
Graveside funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday, December 6, at the Greenleaf Cemetery with Bill Slaymaker officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Davis-Morris Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
