TUSCOLA – The Brownwood Lions erased a 15-point first-half deficit and eventually secured a 71-69 double-overtime road victory over the Jim Ned Indians Tuesday night.
The Lions (2-2) trailed 20-5 after one quarter, crept within 31-19 at halftime, drew even at 42 through three periods, and the game was knotted at 56 at the end of regulation. Following one overtime, the score remained deadlocked at 64.
Jakob Hataway led the Lions with 20 points followed by Luke Moss with 13, Christian Kinzler with nine, Bryson Monroe with eight, Weston Burns, Seth Oines and Tristan Salinas with seven each, and Ike Hall with two points.
Jim Ned (1-3) received 23 points from Xavier Wishert, 16 from Hank Ritter, and 10 from Ben Eshelman.
Brownwood will take part in the Dublin tournament Thursday through Saturday.
