More candidates have filed to run in the Republican Primary in March 2022. Shown from left to right are:

Robert Porter, Brown County Republican Party Chairman; Cheryl Jones, incumbent for District Clerk; Harold Thomas, running for Justice of the Peace Precinct 4; and Jennifer Broughton who filed for the special election for the unexpired term for County Attorney.

Anyone wishing to run for county offices needs to apply with Robert Porter, the Republican Party County Chair, or Mike Bullard, the Democrat Party County Chair, by December 13. That is the filing deadline for the Primary Election on March 1st.
