HAMILTON – The Brownwood Lady Lions kept their unblemished record intact with a 62-24 victory over the Comanche Maidens to begin Friday’s second day of Hamilton tournament action.
The Lady Lions (5-0) led Comanche (2-2) by a 23-4 count after one quarter, 38-12 at halftime, and 46-17 through three periods.
After knocking down a program-tying 12 three-pointers in a 64-21 win over McGregor Thursday, the Lady Lions added five more treys Friday.
Kynslee Walker led the charge for Brownwood 16 points followed by 12 from Alexa Arreola – who drained a trio of three-pointers – eight from Jaylen Savage, six from Tessa Goodwin, five from Lexi Greer, four apiece from Mady Pyle, Brianna Castaneda and Lilly Brasher, and three points from Kassidy Wooten.
Callie Sears led Comanche with five points.
Brownwood will be back in action at 5:50 p.m. tonight when they tangle with tournament host Hamilton.
