Betty Marie Bond joined our Lord on Tuesday, November 09, 2021 at her home in Liberty Hill. A time of gathering will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 from 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm at Heartland Funeral Home. An outdoor celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Eastlawn Memorial Park cemetery with Pastor Tim Skaggs officiating.
Betty was born September 26, 1954 in El Paso, Tx. to James A. and Madie Laverne Baker. She graduated from Ysleta High School in 1972 and Howard Payne College with a degree in Physical Education in 1976. Betty met Eddie at Howard Payne in October of 1972 and they married May 18, 1974. She devoted more than 30 years teaching in Brownwood I.S.D. Besides touching many lives as a teacher, she most importantly was an amazing daughter, sister, wife and mother. Betty spent her last years enjoying bunco with friends, attending church at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and making beautiful memories with her family.
Betty is survived by two children, Kristin Guy and her husband, Christopher and William Bond and his wife, Christina; five grandchildren, Ryder, Kooper, Conner, Jack and Alivia; four brothers and their wives, Larry and Pat, Dave and Penny, Tom and Antoinette and Jim and Debbie Baker; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Jack Bond; and her parents, James A. and Madie Laverne Baker.
