Cornelia Imogene Graham-Coulter, age 95 passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021. Services will be held Wednesday, November 10th. A visitation will start at 12 pm prior to the funeral service at 2 pm in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche. Interment will follow at White Point Cemetery.
Imogene was born Tuesday, September 21, 1926 in Comanche, Texas to James and Amy Graham. She married Walter Jack Coulter on March 22, 1947 and began a life together that blessed them with 3 children. Jack and Imogene lived in Comanche until 1960 when he got an job in Fort Worth, TX working at Phillips Petroleum Oil. Two years later, in 1963, much to their surprise along came, Sandy, baby number three. Imogene loved playing the organ, hosting the family reunions. She enjoyed traveling and playing slot machines, but only the ones in Vegas. All of her grandkids looked forward to Granny’s Breakfast, especially Granny’s Oatmeal. Most of all, Imogene loved to read. She said it kept her mind active and it did until she was 93. Imogene attended the Church of Christ in Comanche before moving to Fort Worth in 2009.
Imogene is survived by her son, Wally Coulter and wife Betty of Haslet, TX; daughter, Sandra Nombrana and husband Buddy of Haltom City, TX; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Coulter and daughter Sherry Lynn Summers.
