- On Sunday, October 17 at 5:15 p.m. Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched a call in regards to found livestock. Contact was made with the complainant, and they advised a cow was located at the intersection of CR 105/106.The complainant agreed to pin the cow on his property until an owner could be located. After a week, no owner was located. The cow was estrayed and transported to 1050 W Commerce and placed in the pins. A report was made.
- On Friday, October 22, Deputy Andre Smoot with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office spoke to the complainant about fraudulent charges on his account, which were made this morning. Pertinent information was gathered and a report was completed for further investigation.
- On Friday, October 22, Deputy Andre Smoot with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was parked facing traffic, not off the roadway and on top of a hill which raised traffic concerns. The vehicle was impounded, and a report was completed.
- On Friday, October 22, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Deputy Mike Sheedy met with the complainant, who reported numerous items had been stolen from his property on Brook Valley Drive during the last month. A report has been generated
- On Friday, October 22, at approximately 4:50 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy met with the complainant who reported his travel trailers had been broken into and a four-wheeler stolen from a property located in the 100 block of Bounding Main Drive. The offense is believed to have occurred between October 15th and 16th of 2021. A report was generated and will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.
- On Friday, October 22, at approximately 4:51 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood was dispatched in reference to a stolen motorcycle. While en route, Wood remembered he had been dispatched to that residence on 10/10/2021. This incident involved an individual attempting to steal a motorcycle, but ran off when the owner returned home. Upon arrival, Wood learned the same motorcycle had been stolen. The motorcycle was a red 2018 Honda CBR 600.
- On Saturday, October 23, Deputy Andre Smoot with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office spoke to multiple victims referencing mailbox damage near Red Clay Road. Pertinent information was gathered, and a report was completed.
- On Saturday, October 23, Deputy Saydie Bradley, spoke with an individual about several items, which were stolen from W US 67/84 in Bangs. A report was made.
- On Saturday, October 23, Deputy Toby Mathis, observed a mailbox in the roadway in the block of CR 136. The mailbox appeared to have been hit with a blunt object. The property owner was contacted a report was made.
- On Saturday, October 23, at around 9:54 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover, along with Deputy Nicholas Wood, Deputy Toby Mathis, and State Parks Officer Estes, responded to block of Killarney Drive. This was in reference to an assault that occurred. After deputies spoke with both calling parties, a report was made.
- On Sunday, October 24, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to the block of Hwy 183 S. for a welfare check. Mathis located the subject and he was placed in custody for Public Intoxication. The suspect was transported to Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.
- On Sunday, October 24, at approximately 2:10 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy met with the complainant, who reported a known suspect has been using her debit card without permission. A report for Credit/Debit Card Abuse has been
- generated and will be forwarded to Criminal Investigations for further review.
- On Sunday, October 24 and Monday, October 25, Deputy Toby Mathis spoke with individuals in regard to their mailboxes being damaged. Information was gathered and 3 reports were made.
- On Sunday, October 24, Deputy Saydie Bradley, spoke with an individual at the Brown County Jail. This was in regards to the ongoing public nuisance on his property. A report was made.
- On Monday, October 25, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Dublin St. in Brownwood. This was in reference to a theft report and to issue a trespass warning.
- On Monday, October 25, at about 11:38 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley arrived at at
- FM 2492 in Brownwood in regards to a theft. Langley spoke to the victim who stated someone had taken a complete set of four tires and rims from the front of his business.
- On Tuesday, October 26 at about 2:56 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley and Deputy Saydie Bradley arrived at Landmark Life insurance located at CR 225 in Brownwood in regards to a welfare check. Bradley and Langley had been advised by dispatch that a white male was slumped over in the front seat of a vehicle
- parked in the parking lot. Bradley and Langley located the vehicle and Langley observed a white male later identified actively “Huffing” a can of aerosol spray. They attempted to get the individual to exit the vehicle and he would not comply. Langley opened the driver side door and Bradley and Langley attempted to
- get the individual out of the vehicle and the individual grabbed the steering wheel and told Langley to “hold on”. The individual was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest for Poss Use Inhale/Ingest Volatile Chemical and Resisting Arrest.
- On Wednesday, October 27, a complainant reported her mailbox was stolen between October 22, 2021, around 1500 and October 23, 2021, around 1100. The mailbox was stolen from its post located in the 500 Block of FM 585 near Bangs, Texas. Deputy Mike Sheedy initiated an investigation and report, and it will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further review.
- On Wednesday, October 27, at around 5:48 p.m., Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to a criminal mischief and burglary of a habitation at Chaparral Drive. After further investigation, a report was made.
