Memorial Services for Johnny will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craig Smee officiating; private interment will be held at a later date in Jordan Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Johnny “John John” Wayne Livingston, age 59, of Brownwood went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Hendrick Medical North in Abilene.
Johnny Wayne Denby was born to R.L. Denby and Zadie Mae Wood on July 22, 1961, in Jasper County, Texas. In 1966, he was adopted by William Henry Livingston and Francis Lee Linscomb, changing his name to Johnny Wayne Livingston.
Since 1997, John lived happily with Teresa Carol Closs, the love of his life for 24 years. His family church was Family Faith Church in Huntsville, Texas.
John was a hard worker back in his younger days, he had worked as a security guard, manager, and grounds keeper in many different industries. But he was into demolition by trade and worked as a laborer for many years. John has been retired for 20 years since 2002. He enjoyed picking pecans and collecting scrape metal for extra money.
He loved sports; his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburg Stealers, Texas Longhorns, and Texas A&M. John loved to be outdoors, fishing and hunting, being by the water to swim, and having fun with family and friends. He was into sports cars, women, and being the life of the party.
John loved to listen to country music and also loved Def-Leppard and Van Halen. He loved to listen to KOXE radio station to hear the news, sports, and music. In his younger days, he loved going to concerts and always dressing up in his fancy clothes. He also enjoyed going to the movies.
John loved his family and cared about everyone. He was a great guy, kind-hearted, and would the shirt off his back. He enjoyed helping people.
John is survived by Teresa Carol Closs of 24 years; son, Johnny Wayne Livingston Jr. of PA; stepchildren, Kenneth Smith of College Station, Cassy Smith of College Station, and Crystal Gallardo of Early; daughter-in-law, Shanda Pittman; God-daughter, April Holland of Brownwood; 4 granddaughters, Ciara, Kailyn, and Aubrey Gallardo all of Early, and Denver Pittman of Brownwood; mother, Francis Lee Linscomb of Coleman; 4 brothers, Rayford Livingston and wife Brenda of Bancroft, LA, Troy “Rusty” Powell of Silsbee, TX, Gary Williams of Jasper, TX, and Keith Denby of Bridge City, TX; sister, Edith Solly and husband Sammy of Silsbee, TX; stepsister, Suzi Rutan and husband David of Houston; stepbrother, Raymond Mitchell and wife Terry of Coleman; his favorite nephews, Roger Cudd, Hunter Solly, Aaron Solly, and Brandon Livingston; and favorite niece, Samantha Solly. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family members, and his friends.
He was preceded in death by his adopted father, William Henry Livingston; biologic parents, R.L. and Zadie Mae Denby; stepmother, Donna Denby; sister, Lorena Rowe; brothers, Larry William Lambert and Ronnie Powell; stepson, Larry Joe Andrew Irvin; and his grandparents.
