
GRANBURY – Facing a Class 5A opponent at a neutral site, the Brownwood Lady Lions came up on the short end of a 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 decision Tuesday night.
Tessa Goodwin led the Lady Lions with eight kills trailed by five from Gracie Boswell, four from Jaylen Savage, and three each from Olivia Fowler, Kylie Morris, and Jordan Northcutt.
Goodwin also dished out 10 assists while Kylie Wooten contributed nine.
Fowler served a team-best four aces while Boswell and Kylie Wooten finished with two apiece.
Defensively, Kassidy Wooten logged 17 assists trailed by Fowler with 11, Goodwin and Boswell with nine each, Morris and Kylie Wooten with seven apiece, and Savage with three.
Savage recorded a team-best two blocks while Morris, Goodwin and Boswell each finished with one.
Brownwood (15-6) will be back in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Burnet.
