WATER VALLEY – Following this past weekend’s fourth-place performance at the Veribest tournament, the Early Lady Horns were denied Tuesday in two bids for victories.

In a dual match hosted by Water Valley, the Lady Horns first fell to Water Valley in three sets, 25-19, 27-25, 25-20. Then, Early came up short in five sets against Abilene Christian, 25-16, 22-25, 19-25, 25-21 and 15-5.

Early (4-5) will be back in action at 5:30 p.m. Friday at San Angelo Cornerstone Christian, which toppled the Lady Horns in the third-place game of the Veribest tournament on Saturday.
