WEATHERFORD – Thunderstorms again prevented the Brownwood High tennis team from getting a full day of action in, as Tuesday’s match with Class 6A Weatherford ended after just six matches and the contest against Argyle was cancelled.

Brownwood dropped a 5-1 decision to Weatherford with the lone victory earned by Dillon Gatlin and Nathan Ramos in the No. 2 boys doubles match.

Also competing for Brownwood were Peter Le and River Prado at the No. 1 boys doubles position; Taevion Nickerson and Thomas Stewardson in No. 3 boys doubles; Natalie Mares and Emma Delgado in No. 2 girls doubles; Claire Meinecke and Raylei Hickey in No 3 girls doubles; and Tatum Dehart and Taylor Wallace in mixed doubles.

The Lions and Lady Lions (4-1) are slated to return to action Saturday as they host Graham and Wall beginning at 9 a.m.
