Funeral service for Jerry “Chief” Thompson, 70 of Dallas formally of Brownwood, will be held Saturday August 7, 2021 at 11 am at Greater Faith Community Church with interment to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday August 6, from 6-8pm at Brownwood Funeral Home.
Jerry “Chief” Thompson was born on February 20, 1951 in Brownwood, Tx to Minnie Mae Riggins and Albert Thompson. He received his education from Brownwood High School and when he graduated, he went on to work at Brownwood Manufacturing.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his daughter Felisa Thompson.
Jerry leaves behind his children: 1 son; Eric Thompson of Dallas, TX. 2 daughters; Camedra Thompson and Melody Thompson both of Dallas, TX. 6 grandchildren; Nina Moran, Omarion Warren, Omariah Warren, Minnie Thompson, Nastacia (Gralen) Thompson Harrison and Desmond Thompson. Great-grandchildren Lori’onia Faggin and four additional great-grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by his siblings Betty Jo Durham (Reggie), James Thompson (Diane) both of Brownwood, TX, Dee Riggins and Richard Riggins of Temple, TX and Delores McCalister of San Antonio, TX.
