At approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday, first responders were dispatched to U.S. Highway 377 south of Brownwood near FM 586 where a tractor-trailer had overturned.
Officials at the scene stated the semi,which was headed north into Brownwood, struck a guard rail and then rolled over on its side just prior to the FM 586 turn off to Indian Creek.
The driver and lone occupant of the tractor-trailer did not suffer significant injuries, but the semi was leaking fuel after it overturned and a haz-mat unit was summoned to spray foam at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. No further details are available at this time.
