The state has provided funding to assist individuals in Brown Country and Cornerstone Community Action Agency is available to help residents. The state has been awarded a grant that provides mortgage assistance to income-eligible households impacted by COVID-19. The program can help pay up to six consecutive months of all or part of a mortgage payment, including mortgage arrears.
Qualifications included residents in the service area with a household income at or below 80 percent of the area median income level; a household had a loss of reduction of income or increased cost due to the pandemic; a household must provide a recent mortgage statement showing missed payment(s) and provide proof of primary residence.
