Business Workshop, Kicks 4 Kids, Business Expo upcoming for Chamber

Communications Manager Kandace Harris on Thursday morning shared some of the events upcoming for the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce during an interview with KOXE.

The Chamber will host a Business Workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 at the Don Bostick Boardroom. This month attendees will learn how to use Chambermaster to its fullest potential. The event is designed to help members understand how to update business information, view insights, post jobs, post events, share hot deals, and navigate the Chambermaster system. Lunch will be provided for free, and the even is sponsored by the Brownwood Municipal Development District.

The Young Professionals of Brown County will be hosting the Kicks 4 Kids Shoe Drive from 11 a.m. To 2 p.m. Aug. 4. Shoe donations can be delivered to the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce located at 600 E. Depot Street. Shoe donation should include new shoes (sizes 10 youth to 13 adults0 that are appropriate for daily use at school. Kicks 4 Kids will benefit Pre-K students through seniors in high school. The Young Professionals of Brown County and Brown County Child Welfare Board will coordinate to distribute the shoe donations. A lunch plate will be provided for each shoe donation. The BMDD and Weakley-Watson Hardware are sponsors of the event.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 27th Annual Business Expo on Thursday, Sept. 2 at the Depot. More than 70 businesses throughout the area participate in the expo each year in various lines of trade. This year’s theme is “Survivor.” All visitors will have the opportunity to win booth prizes and those who take place in “Expo Bingo” may enter to win the grand prize.

The 27th Annual Business Expo is sponsored by Kanar RV.
