The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of June 23:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
Fishing is good. Water lightly stained; 86 degrees; 0.02 feet high.
Largemouth bass are good with wacky worms, Texas rigged plastic worms, crankbaits and flukes along grass lines, rocky shorelines, and flooded vegetation.
Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings.
White bass and hybrids are good on slabs, swimbaits, and live bait along the main lake channels, humps, and ridges. Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass.
Catfish are good on chicken liver and nightcrawlers.
LAKE CISCO
Fishing is good. Water clear; 74 degrees; 0.15 feet low.
Largemouth bass are fair to good hoping for low wind days as summer has officially arrived. Fishing deeper on structure with worms, spinners, and jigs in dropping structure.
Sunfish are good on minnows and cut worms especially at night under a light in less than 4 feet of water.
Crappie are good on jigs and minnows under docks and marinas.
Catfish have been fair on stink bait, chicken livers, and cut shad.
LAKE COLEMAN
Fishing is fair. Water slightly stained; 75 degrees; 2.00 feet low.
Hybrid stripers are fair on rattle traps on the first significant drop out from coves on rattle traps.
Largemouth bass remain fair among points and ledges with jerk baits, jigs, spinners, and topwater worms.
Crappie remain good out from vegetation.
Catfish are fair with stink bait and cut bait.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
Fishing is good. Water clear; 74 degrees; 13.86 feet low.
Black bass are fair on points and deeper vegetation with soft plastic worms and crankbaits.
Crappie are good on jigs on the west side of the lake and using afternoon shade as primetime.
Catfish are good on stinkbait, live baits, and cut bait.
White bass are fair.
LAKE PROCTOR
Fishing is good. Water lightly stained; 85 degrees; 5.36 feet high.
Largemouth bass are fair on chatter baits, Carolina rigged plastic worms, and crank baits near main lake points, drop offs, flooded vegetation, and rocky shorelines.
Hybrid stripers are good with bait and swim baits in the main lake in water depths of 25-40 feet.
Crappie are good with minnows and jigs near timber and brush near a channel or drop-off.
Catfish are good on cut bait, live bait, and earthworms.
