Shirley Kimble

Shirley Kimble, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born on October 18, 1948, in Union County, Indiana, the daughter of Lonnie and Debbie Sue Kilgore. Shirley was united in marriage to Bill Kimble in Comanche, Texas on October 14, 1978. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2019. She was devoted to her family and loved being involved in their activities. As a young woman Shirley graduated from the University of Texas Arlington and began teaching math. She taught in several school districts in Texas until she changed careers and began working as a social worker for Texas Department of Health and Human Services. She was an avid reader, and loved to do genealogy research.

She is survived by her daughters, Miranda de la Garza and husband Luis Eduardo “Wayo” of Laredo, and Rachel Peralta and husband Jason of Arlington; son David Kimble of Bentonville, Arkansas; grandchildren: Christian de la Garza, Brooke de la Garza, Charlotte Peralta, and Annabelle Peralta; brother, Richard Kilgore and wife Barbara of Trophy Club; sisters, Dee Ann Allen and husband Ronald of Arlington, Darla Stewart of Marble Falls, and Lorri Pratt of Grand Prairie; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Isabella Sophia Peralta; parents, Lonnie and Debbie Sue Kilgore; brother, Lonnie Kilgore, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Donald Pratt and Rocky Stewart; and nephew, Kyle Kilgore.

Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Darla Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Newburg Cemetery in Comanche County.. Condolences may be offered on line at www.comanchefh.com.
