- On Thursday, June 3, Deputy Jim L. Cornelius was assigned a call for service at the Law Enforcement Center. An individual reported a temporary license plate for her utility trailer as either missing or stolen. A registration check indicated the temporary license plate (paper tag) expired Feb. 27, 2021. Due to recent heavy rains the paper plate may have been damaged and lost.
- On Friday, June 4 around 9:36 a.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover responded to South US 183. This was in reference to a theft, which occurred the previous week. After further investigation, a report was made.
- On Friday, June 4 at around 1:27 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover and DPS Trooper Hoyt, responded to a minor traffic accident involving a damaged fence. While speaking to the persons on scene, it was discovered an incident occurred after the crash before law enforcement’s arrival. Both sides claim self-defense, but do not wish to pursue charges. A report was made.
- On Friday, June 4 Sgt. Taylor Fletcher, responded to assist Adult Probation with a home search where narcotics had been found. An individual was subsequently arrested. This was due to multiple paraphernalia items, 0.1 grams of methamphetamine, a vape containing THC oil, and 0.5 grams of alprazolam tablets were found in her possession.
- On Friday, June 4 Deputy Toby Mathis, observed a male subject that was recognized. Dispatch advised the individual had 5 active warrants. After placing the individual in custody for the warrant’s narcotics were located on his person. A consent search of his vehicle yielded more narcotics. The individual was charged with Possession controlled substance, Abandoning or Endangering Child, and Possession of Marijuana.
- On Friday, June 4 Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to Turner Dr. to speaking with the complainant. This was in regards to a criminal trespass warning. The complainant wanted an individual to be criminally trespassed from her residence. Mathis attempted to locate the individual but was unsuccessful. A report was made.
- On Saturday, June 5 Deputy Toby Mathis, met with a complainant at the LEC. This was in regards to terroristic threat. The complainant said an individual threatened to harm him. The complainant said this caused him to fear for his safety. A report was made.
- On Sunday, June 6 Deputy Saydie Bradley responded to the jail on a harassment call.
- On Sunday, June 6 at approximately 2:55 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy arrived at Clyde Street. This was to investigate a burglary of a habitation. The complainant reported her residence, located in the block of Clyde Street, had been broken into between Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5. A report was generated and will be forwarded for further investigation.
