The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of June 2:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
Fishing is good. Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 1.33 feet high.
Largemouth bass are good using black or plum colored Texas rigged plastic worms, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and swim jigs working along grass lines, rocky shorelines, and flooded vegetation.
Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings.
White bass and hybrids are good on spoons, swimbaits, and live bait fishing along the main lake channel, humps, and ridges. Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass.
Catfish are good on cut bait and night crawlers.
LAKE CISCO
Fishing is good. Water clear; 67 degrees; 3.46 feet low.
Largemouth bass are good with weaker days during northern winds. Fish vegetation, drops on topwater, spinners, worms, and crankbait.
Sunfish are good around piers on cutworms really taking off with lights at night.
Crappie are fair on jigs staying close to creeks and covered spots.
Catfish are fair with slowing movement on stink bait, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers night and day.
LAKE COLEMAN
Fishing is fair. Water slightly stained; 67 degrees; 3.03 feet low.
Hybrid stripers are still good on rattletraps and live bait. Use boat equipment to find the bait schools.
Largemouth bass are good with topwater, crankbait, and spinners moving around vegetation for consistent smaller bass, and deep structures for the lunkers.
Catfish are fair using stink bait and cut bait around cove entrances within 4 feet of the bottom.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
Fishing is good. Water clear; 70 degrees; 13.44 feet low.
Black bass are good on topwater, worms, spinners, and crankbaits finding their way deeper on sunny afternoons.
Crappie are fair on live minnows getting closer to brush about 8 feet.
Catfish are good on stink bait, live, and cut bait.
LAKE PROCTOR
Fishing is fair. Water stained; 74 degrees; 8.66 feet high.
Largemouth bass are slow on topwaters, buzz baits, and crankbaits near main lake points, flooded vegetation, and rocky shorelines in water depths 2 – 18 feet.
Hybrid stripers are fair with live bait in the main lake in water depths 25-40 feet.
Crappie are slow with minnows and jigs near timber and brush near a channel or drop off.
Catfish are fair on chicken liver, cut bait, and earthworms.
