Froese, the daughter of Jake and Stephanie Froese, said of receiving the news she was named valedictorian, “Being the valedictorian of my class is something I am grateful for knowing that my hard work and dedication finally paid off. I wasn’t surprised because I have been checking my GPA and class ranking for several years”
Froese intends to attend Howard Payne University with plans to become a teacher.
“I chose this career because I felt like it was my calling from God,” Froese said.
Looking 10 years into the future, Froese said, “I see myself as a successful teacher, mom and wife.”
During her high school years, Froese took part in basketball, volleyball, softball and FFA.
In the classroom, Froese said, “My favorite subject was athletics even though that’s not exactly a subject. My favorite teachers were my coaches and ag teacher.”
Medford said of receiving the salutatorian accolade, “Salutatorian is something I’ve been working toward for a long time. It make me prideful knowing even with challenges I can be rewarded. I was not expecting to be salutatorian because there are several great contenders in my class.”
Medford, the daughter of Daryl and Karla Medford, will be attending Weatherford College with plans to become a diagnostic medical sonographer.
“I want to eventually become a cardiac sonographer because it is a job that will always be in demand,” Medford said.
Of her 10-year goals, Medford said, “I see myself traveling the world and living my best life.”
Medford took part in FFA, FCCLA, National Honor Society and golf during her high school years.
