The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release Monday morning regarding recent felony cases held in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.
- Colby Ray Owings, on probation for the felony offenses of Burglary of a Habitation and Arson, was revoked and sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Owings, on probation for the state jail offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, was revoked and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
- Charles Art Bishop pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Bishop pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Burglary of a Building and was sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division. Further, Bishop, on probation for the state jail felony offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Endangering a Child was revoked and sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
- Bethany Ketchum, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Margarita Lara, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- David Lynn Seward, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked at sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
