Nancy Sue Connor Armstrong resident of Comanche for more than eight decades passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021 at the age of 93.

Born on December 10, 1927 to Joseph and Pauline Lucas Connor in McKinney, Texas, Nancy and her family moved to Comanche when she was in high school. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1945 and on August 19, 1949 married Richard C Armstrong. She spent most of her life in Comanche working at the Courthouse, co-owning Jeans Hardware and raising her four sons. Her Christian life was centered around being a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her support of every family activity included the love and care that she gave her son Mike. She devoted 68 years to his care and development. She enjoyed having everyone together for Thanksgiving and watching Texas A&M football. On any given day, she could be found either in the kitchen, a ball field or a rodeo arena. She supported her family in all their adventures through sports and rodeo; she was their biggest cheerleader. Nancy loved her community, church and providing countless volunteer services.

Nancy is survived by her four sons, James (Jim) Armstrong, wife Jane; Mike Armstrong; Danny Armstrong, partner Vicky; and Robert Armstrong, wife Pam; Grandchildren Kelli Armstrong Lawrence, Julie Armstrong Mullennix, Lindsay Armstrong Franklin, Ty Armstrong, Katy Armstrong, Jesse Armstrong, Jeff Mitschke, 5 great-grandchildren, nephew Craig Connor, nieces Susan Vercellino and Carol Srack.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, a brother Joseph Connor and wife Lavelle, niece Carla Connor McDonald and nephew David Vercellino.

Visitation will be available at Comanche Funeral Home on April 24, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00pm at Gardens of Memory, Comanche, TX.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Center for Life Resources:  408 Mulberry, Brownwood, Texas 76801, Comanche County Hospital Foundation, or the Comanche Methodist Church.
