LUBBOCK – Brownwood Lady Lion Haylie Martindale fired an opening round 96 Monday at the Region I-4A girls golf tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course, which lands her in a tie for 45th place.
Jordyn Hall of Andrews shot a first-round 74 and carries a two-stroke edge into the final 18 holes.
Andrews also leads in the team standings after posting a 304 Monday.
The second round will take place Tuesday.
