The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
Excellent fishing. Water stained. 64 degrees. 3.37 feet low.
Largemouth bass are excellent with chatter baits, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and skirted jigs in coves, shorelines, and timber in 2-10 feet.
Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles, near bridge pilings, and in the creeks.
White bass and hybrids are excellent on spoons and swimbaits in the creeks and main lake points, humps, and ridges.
Catfish are excellent on punch bait, chicken liver, and cut bait in 5-12 feet.
LAKE CISCO
Fishing is good. Water lightly stained, 61 degrees. 6.13 feet low.
Largemouth bass are good as the spawn is in full swing in timber and vegetation on spinners, worms, and crankbait. Sandy coves continue to excel, and you can’t go too shallow.
Sunfish are good within casting range of every bank in shallow structures on nightcrawlers and cutworms.
Crappie are fair on jigs continuing in creeks and water covering structure.
Catfish are fair with slowing movement on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and chicken livers night and day.
LAKE COLEMAN
Fishing is fair. Water slightly stained, 61 degrees. 3.57 feet low.
Hybrid stripers are fair on rattletraps following baitfish normally around coves fishing in 7 feet or less with large waves of activity.
Largemouth bass are good, and structures are the key to success, especially timber with worms, topwater, and some shallow trolling baits.
Catfish are fair using stinkbait and cut bait around cove entrances within 4 feet of the bottom.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
Fishing is fair. Water is clear, 63 degrees. 13.39 feet low.
Black bass are good still shallow on points and creeks northeast and northwest with worms, spinners, and occasional topwater.
Crappie are fair on live minnows staying close to shady water with structure.
Catfish are good on stinkbait, live, and cut bait.
LAKE PROCTOR
Fishing is good. Water lightly stained, 62 degrees. 0.69 foot low.
Largemouth bass are good on topwater, swimbaits, crankbaits, and craws near main lake points, coves and shorelines.
Hybrid stripers are fair with swimbaits and live bait in the main lake around 35-45 feet.
Crappie are good with minnows near creeks, shallow timber, and brush.
Catfish are good on cut bait and punch bait.
