Thirteen members of the Brownwood Lady Lions soccer team earned all-district accolades from the coaches of 4-4A, including four superlative awards.
Sophomore Kennedi Johnson was named Co-Offensive MVP, junior Watts Jones was tabbed Co-Midfielder MVP, senior Dusty Van Huss received Defensive MVP honors, and freshman Molly Oliver was tabbed Offensive Newcomer of the Year.
First-team selections for the Lady Lions included sophomores Ibis Alvarado and Ataleigh Constancio, along with senior Brileigh Price.
Making the second team were junior Tessa Goodwin, along with freshmen Adryanna Huerta and Addison Pesina.
Receiving honorable mention were seniors Hannah Allgood, Taynne Delap, and Emily Carnes.
Earning academic all-district status were Allgood, Alvarado, Carnes, Constancio, Johnson, Jones, Oliver, Van Huss, Pesina, Goodwin, Armani Lopez, Brooke Price and Naysa Leach.
The rest of the district superlative awards included Stephenville sophomore Tori Cameron as MVP; Mineral Wells junior Alayna Gutierrez as Co-Offensive MVP; Stephenville freshman Ashley Perez as Co-Midfielder MVP; Mineral Wells senior Alexia Rodriguez as Goalkeeper MVP; Graham junior Svea Johansson as Utility MVP; Stephenville freshman Valerie Vidal as Defensive Newcomer of the Year; and Stephenville’s Casey Weil as Coach of the Year.
The Lady Lions finished the season with an 11-5 record, were runners-up in District 4-4A, and bi-district champions in head coach Alexis Mosqueda’s first season in charge of the program.
