BELTON – The Howard Payne University volleyball team lost to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor 3-0 and 3-0 on Wednesday evening.
Delaney Etzler highlighted the evening, recording 15 kills for the doubleheader.
Game One
The Lady Jackets dropped three straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-11.
Delaney Etzler led Howard Payne with six kills. Riley Britain had eight assists, and Chloe Pryor had 15 digs.
Corrine Novak had 12 kills for Mary Hardin-Baylor. Alli Pierce had 34 assists, and Hannah Frasca had 15 digs.
Game Two
Howard Payne could not find their footing in the second game, dropping three straight sets 25-15, 25-20, and 25-13.
Delaney Etzler and Riley Britain both set new career highs for kills, recording nine each. Kaitlyn Elsten had 14 assists, and Chloe Pryor had 15 digs for the Lady Jackets.
Corrine Novak led UMHB with 12 kills. Alli Pierce had 33 assists, and Hannah Frasca had 17 digs.
Howard Payne ends the season with an overall record of 3-19 and a conference record of 0-18. Mary Hardin-Baylor improves to 14-2 overall and 14-2 in conference play.
