Brookesmith had 5 students participate in the Academic UIL meet at Richland Springs on Friday, March 26th. All five students will be moving to Regionals in Waxahachie on April 16th-17th.

• Savanna Hancock – 1st Place Mathematics & 5th Place Number Sense
• Cody Mazurek – 2nd Place Spelling and Vocabulary, 1st Place Spelling and Vocabulary Team also on the 2nd place Social Studies Team
• Conner Heard – 4th Place individual in Social Studies and a 1st place Spelling and Vocabulary team member
• Tristen Slayton – A member of both the Spelling and Vocabulary team and Social Studies team. He placed 4th individually in Spelling and Vocabulary and 5th individually in Social Studies.
• Sharon Beth Bradley is the final member of both the Spelling and Vocabulary team and Social Studies team. She placed 6th individually in Spelling and Vocabulary.
