The following fishing report for Lake Brownwood was provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department on March 31:
Fishing GOOD. Water stained; 57 degrees; 3.15 feet low.
Largemouth bass are fair with jerk baits, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and skirted jigs in coves, shorelines, and timber in 3-12 feet with some bass staging in 8-12 feet.
Crappie are fair on minnows in brush piles and timber edges near a creek channel or drop-off.
White bass and hybrids are good on spoons and swimbaits in the creeks.
Catfish are good on punch bait, chicken liver, and cut bait in 12-25 feet near baited areas.
