8 positive COVID results this week, 11 active cases

For the week of March 19-26, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 8 positive COVID-19 test results, 105 negative, and 59 recoveries. Of the 8 positives,  2 were PCR, and 6  were antigen. There are currently 2 hospitalized in Brown County. Two deaths were reported, a female in her 70s, not a resident of a nursing facility, and another female in her 70s from a nursing facility.

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 6,507 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 3,966 people vaccinated with both doses.  30,883 is the estimated for vaccination.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Information: 

The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department is opening eligibility for COVID-19 vaccinations to ALL adults age 18 years old or older.
