The Howard Payne Lady Jackets slipped to 0-3 in American Southwest Conference women’s soccer action and 0-4 on the season with a 3-0 home loss to the Mary Hardin-Baylor Lady Crusaders Monday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.
HPU surrendered all three goals in the second half – 5:37 in to Kelsey White, 4:12 later to Kristen Burdick, and with 16:44 left to Maria Rico.
The Lady Jackets attempted three shots – by Mariah Gonzales, Lindsey Schiller, and Alexandria Barnett – with none on goal
UMHB (4-0, 4-0) finished with 20 shots and 11 on goal as Delaney Castor tallied eight saves for Howard Payne.
The Lady Jackets are back in action at 2:30 p.m. Sunday as they visit Mary Hardin-Baylor.
