Early, Bangs excel in small school portion of Bluebonnet Relays

According to the official Bluebonnet Relays results, the Early Longhorns won the Class A-3A small school division, while the Lady Horns missed out on a title by two points, finishing just behind Eastland. Also, the Bangs Lady Dragons placed third as a team and the Dragons come in fourth place.

The Longhorns produced 130 points to finished ahead of Eastland (107), Whitney (105), and Bangs (89) among others.

On the girls side, the Lady Horns finished with 139 points to Eastland’s 141, while the Lady Dragons amassed 125 points.

The following are student-athletes from Early and Bangs who contributed to their team’s respective point total Friday:

Early Longhorns

FIRST: Alex Jacobs in the 200 meters (23.57), Ethan Mitchell in the high jump (6-0), Vic Cooper in the triple jump (41-11)

SECOND: Jacobs in the 100 meters (11.52), Cooper in the 200 meters (23.64) and the long jump (19-3.5), Sebastian Constancio in the pole vault (8-6), Tre Beam in the discus (117-8), the 4×100 relay team of Jacobs, Mitchell, Sanchez and Powell (45.56)

THIRD: Jake Simpson in the 300-meter hurdles (48.51), Beam in the long jump (18-8.75),

FOURTH: Jacobs in the long jump (18-7.5), Cooper in the 100 meters (11.7), Simpson in the 110-meter hurdles (19.13), John Hill in the triple jump (36-0.5), the 4×200 relay team of Mitchell, Adan Aleman, Ki Houston and Beam (1:41.46)

FIFTH: Beam in the 100 meters (11.89), Fischer Fulton in the discus (102-6), the 4×400 relay team of Caleb Ozuna, Hill, Simpson and Aleman (4:06.87)

FIRST: Lynette Hansen in the 300-meter hurdles (53.65) and the triple jump (33-2.25), Morgan Sikes in the 200 meters (27.54), the 4×100 relay of Grecia Yebra, Sikes, Shayna Oliver, and Carrigan Norris (53.5), and the 4×200 relay of Yebra, Sikes, Naveah Tollett, and Norris (1:54.23)

SECOND: Norris in the 100 meters (13.79) and Presley Richmond in the 3200 meters (15:12.09)

THIRD: Oliver in the 100 meters (13.84), Hansen in the long jump (14-4.5), Norris in the long jump (13-11), Hope Ryan in the discus (87-3), Ciarra Gillardo in the shot put (27-9), Jenna Wigham in the FOURTH: Wigham in the 300-meter hurdles (59.98)

FIFTH: Avery Horton in the shot put (26-3), Trista Burleson in the 400 meters (1:11.92), Presley Richmond in the 1600 meters (7:06.63), the 4×400 relay of Burleson, Wigham, Hannah Middleton, and Hansen (4:57.75)

SIXTH: Tollett in the 200 meters (29.81), Celeste Leon in the shot put (25-8.5), Memorie Castro in the 3200 meters (16:31.74)

FIRST: Hannah Person in the 800 meters (2:36.35), Hadley King in the 3200 meters (15:04.75), Cloie Montague in the pole vault (15-3.5), Maggie Morales in the long jump (15-3.5)

SECOND: Parson in the 1600 meters (6:13.38), Morales in the triple jump (32-7.25), Skylar Hutchins in the 200 meters (28.24), and the long jump (15-2.25)

THIRD: Raylee Hutchins in the 200 meters (28.63), the 4×100 relay of Skylar Hutchins, Emily Baker, Neileigh Strickland and Jordyn Pitts (55.0), the 4×400 relay of Halle Lance, Strickland, Skylar Hutchins and Morales (4:47.3)
