
The Brownwood Lady Lions soccer team rebounded from their only District 4-4A defeat and remained undefeated in Brownwood with a 5-0 triumph over Graham Friday afternoon at Howard Payne University’s Citizens National Bank Field.
The Lady Lions (9-3, 3-1) received a hat trick from Kennedi Johnson, who poured in three goals, while Dusty Van Huss and Watts Jones contributed one goal apiece.
The game was moved from Gordon Wood Stadium to HPU as the annual Bluebonnet Relays took place Friday.
The Lady Lions will be back in action at 5 p.m. Friday, March 12 at Mineral Wells.
In boys soccer action, the Lions fell at Graham, 3-1.
Tied at 1 at halftime, Brownwood yielded two second-half goals.
Jeremiah Bond recorded the goal for the Lions (2-13, 0-4), who return to action at 7 p.m. Friday, March 12 at Mineral Wells.
