The following was posted on the Bangs ISD Facebook page Thursday afternoon:
As we all get ready for what looks like will be a beautiful Spring Break, almost everyday is forecasted to be 75 and sunny, I wanted to update you on how we are going forward with masks after the Governor’s announcement.
TEA has given local control to districts in terms of their response to the Governor’s decision. What this means is that at the BISD board meeting Monday, March 15, I will be making the recommendation that masks become optional for both students and employees.
Following the Governor’s reversal, teachers and students also became immediately eligible for the vaccine if that is something you are interested in.
If you have any questions, please email or call.
I hope everyone has an AMAZING break!
Josh Martin, Ed.D.
