The 700-dose COVID first shot vaccination drive-thru clinic was progressing without any issues, according to Hendrick Health officials on site at Gordon Wood Stadium Tuesday morning.
As the was case during the 600-dose first shot vaccination on Feb. 3, six lanes of traffic were created to keep traffic flowing.
Tuesday’s clinic is the largest held in Brown County to date.
Brownwood is still hoping to eventually be designated a COVID vaccination distribution hub, which would result in 1,000 vaccines being able to be distributed per week.
Due to a delay in delivery, the second dose clinic anticipated for March 3 has been postponed. Those who received first dose vaccinations on Feb. 3 will be rescheduled soon. The Health Department will be calling individuals who have signed up on the list at www.BrownwoodTexas.gov/health.
Details on future COVID vaccination clinics have not yet been released.
