Nicholas Joseph Delcontey Jr., age 86, of Brownwood passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at a local nursing facility.
Services for Nicholas will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Nicholas was born on February 6, 1935, to Nicholas Sr. and Viola (Spaziano) Delcontey in Somerville, New Jersey. He was an electrician/plumber; he hooked up the transformers at Disney World and in the Everglades. During his younger years he loved traveling, he enjoyed it so much that he became an 18-wheeler driver. Nicholas was a new car carrier delivering new cars up and down the east coast and the northern states.
Nicholas was a “Jack of all Trades”. In his later years, he enjoyed working in his yard.
Nicholas is survived by his wife, Suzanne Delcontey of Brownwood; 2 step-daughters, Marian Walker and husband Butch of Ben Wheeler, TX, Martha Rubash and husband Bill of Brownwood; 1 granddaughter; and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas Sr. and Viola Delcontey; and his sister.
