The Brownwood Lady Lions soccer team remained undefeated at Gordon Wood Stadium as it wrapped up pre-district action with a 2-0 victory over Class 5A Abilene Cooper Friday.
The Lady Lions (6-2) are now 4-0 in home games under first-year head coach Alexis Mosqueda, outscoring their foes 21-0.
“We played a very well-rounded Abilene Cooper team tonight and I’m extremely happy with the way my girls performed,” Mosqueda said. “It was a great way to end our non-district run and I’m so excited for the future of this team.”
Molly Oliver and Ataleigh Constancio recorded goals for the Lady Lions, who resume action at 5:15 Friday, Feb. 12 when they host Graham in the District 4-4A opener.
