The loss was the fourth in a row for the Lady Lions (8-13, 1-5), who played Tuesday night without leading scorer and rebounder Tessa Goodwin as she is in concussion protocol and is expected to miss Friday’s home finale against Gatesville as well.
Lampasas (18-7, 1-5) led by a 19-12 count after one quarter, 31-19 at halftime and 51-29 through three frames. Juliana Dwamena scored 31 points for the Lady Badgers, including 23 in the first half.
Alexa Arreola finished with 12 points for the Lady Lions – who defeated Lampasas at home, 57-52, on Jan. 8 – followed by Kynslee Walker with 11, Jaylen Savage with seven, Brooke Price with five, Mady Pyle and Lindsey Larose with two points each and Lexi Greer with one.
Brownwood shot 21 of 25 from the free throw line, with Walker recording all 11 of her points at the charity stripe.
The Lady Lions host Gatesville at 6 p.m. Friday.
