Sue Flores, age 82, of Novice, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at North Runnels Hospital in Winters.
A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Haynes officiating.
Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, January 24, at Steven Funeral Home. Face coverings are required for viewing and funeral service.
She was born Sulema Ybarra on July 30, 1938 in Hondo, Texas to Victor Ybarra and Celia Gonzales Ybarra. Sue grew up in Hondo where she attended school. She married John Flores, Sr. on February 8, 1958 in Hondo. They relocated to Coleman County in the late 1950’s. Sue enjoyed drawing, gardening, and reading, especially her Bible. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Sue was a homemaker, caregiver, and a member of the Novice Baptist Church.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Flores, Sr.; her son, John Flores, Jr.; four brothers, Victor Ybarra, Jr., David Ybarra, Reyes Ybarra, and Carlos Ybarra.
She is survived by her children, Jane F. Kincaid and husband Kelly of Novice, Margie Flores of Abilene, and John L. Flores of Abilene; four grandchildren, Tonya Kincaid, Grace Kincaid, Wynona “Bitty” Kincaid, and Kelly Lynn Kincaid; nine great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Irene Cuellar of Hondo, Carmel Martinez, of Hondo, Delores Guajardo of Hondo, Corina Flores of Hondo, and Herminia Rodriguez.
