She taught Sunday School for about 6 years at the Bangs First Baptist Church in the Ester class and loved it. She loved cooking and gardening and bird watching. She lived in Stephenville, Texas and Alexandria, Virginia where they gained a child before moving on to Minneapolis, MN. When Bill and Mary moved back to Texas they landed in Dallas until 1974 when she moved back to Bangs where she remained until her passing. As a young woman, Mary loved to sing and sang at Camp Bowie in the USO and at the Church.
