Lloyd E. Sansom of Early, Texas passed away at home from brain cancer. Due to Covid-19 concerns, only his wife and daughter attended his burial. His wife of 55 years was presented the United States Flag while Taps was played. A small gathering will be held at a later date.
Lloyd was a dual-rated fixed wing pilot who mostly flew helicopters, and before he retired from the Army as a CW-4, he managed to squeeze in and earn two Associates and one Bachelor of Science degree. He also retired from Lockheed Martin in Ft. Worth after serving his country.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Alice Elain Sansom and daughter Cheryal Gae Sansom Clark; one granddaughter, Brittany Sansom and her love, Leo King; his bonus grandchildren, Tyler Foreman and wife Danielle with their children Chloe and Keegan; Natalie Espinoza and husband Noe with their daughter, Sophie Laine. All of whom he loved and cherished and was so very proud of. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins, all of whom he loved and cherished.
Heaven is pretty big I imagine, but I feel God led Lloyd to his two boys who predeceased him; his son, L. Britt Sansom who held in his heart, and his much loved son-in-law, Steve Clark. His beloved parents, Radford Lloyd and Annie Ellen Sansom and his precious sister, Gloria “Sis” McDougal also predeceased him.
