The San Angelo National Weather Service has placed Brown, Coleman, San Saba, McCulloch, Callahan and Eastland counties in our area under a Winter Storm Warning. Comanche and Mills counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory.
The Winter Storm Warning means rain will mix with sleet this morning and gradually change over to mostly snow for this afternoon and evening. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch are possible. The Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 6:00 am Friday. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of emergency. Snow amounts will be heavier west of Brown county toward San Angelo. Snow amounts will be lighter toward the east.
