At approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday the Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department and Lifeguard EMS responded to a call of an apartment fire at the 377 Villas, located at 4236 US. Highway 377 South. The Early Volunteer Fire Department was later toned out.
Upon arrival, smoke was seen coming from the two-story apartment. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes. There was no structural damage caused by the fire, and the amount of damage inside the structure was unclear. An investigation into the cause is currently ongoing.
According to scanner traffic, one person on the scene was being treated by Lifeguard for undisclosed injuries.
