The San Angelo National Weather Service has expanded the Winter Storm Watch to include Brown, Callahan and Coleman counties. The weather statement is below.
WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING…
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Some freezing rain and sleet are also likely, which could result in light ice accumulations.
* WHERE…Haskell, Throckmorton, Shackelford, Callahan, Coleman and Brown counties.
* WHEN…From Thursday morning through Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
