
ALEDO – Facing their second straight Class 5A foe, the Brownwood Lions again came up on the short end, dropping a 67-42 decision at Aledo Friday night.
The Lions (4-6) trailed Aledo (12-1) by a 19-10 count after one quarter, 37-24 at halftime and 53-37 through three periods.
Jakob Hataway paced the Brownwood effort with 16 points trailed by Christian Kinzler and Micheal Felts with eight apiece, Nathan Wheelington with four, Bryson Monroe with three, Antonio Salinas with two and Zach Porter with one point.
Aledo’s Landry Simmons led all scorers with 22 points.
Brownwood will attempt to rebound at 1:15 p.m. Saturday as they host the De Leon Bearcats.
