SAN ANGELO – The Class 6A San Angelo Central Lady Cats dished out a third consecutive loss for the Brownwood Lady Lions Friday night, who fell 49-25.
Brownwood (3-5) trailed Central (4-3) by a 13-5 count after one quarter, 27-10 at halftime and 41-20 through three periods.
The Lady Lions shot 30 percent (9 of 30) from the floor, but got to the free throw line just four times, converting three, while committed 33 turnovers. Brownwood pulled down 31 rebounds, but forced just seven steals.
CarolAnn Hetzel led the Lady Lions with nine points trailed by Brooke Price and Lindsey Larose with four each, Kynslee Walker and Tessa Goodwin with three apiece, and Lexi Greer with two points.
Brownwood is back in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday at San Saba, which knocked off Early, 75-28, Friday night.
