The lone superlative award for the Lions went to sophomore receiver Jason Jackson, who was tabbed the league’s offensive newcomer of the year. Jackson led the Lions with 32 catches for 668 yards – an average of 20.9 yards per catch – with nine touchdowns.
First-team choices included senior outside receiver Malachi Revada, senior inside receiver Dane Johnson, senior defensive tackle Kris Hobbs, and senior punter Blaize Espinoza.
Revada grabbed 13 catches for 241 yards with three touchdowns, while Johnson pulled down 29 receptions for 319 yards. Hobbs recorded 62 tackles, including four for loss, with one sack and one fumble recovery, while Espinoza averaged 34.3 yards per punt.
Landing on the second-team offense from Brownwood were senior running back Royshad Henderson, junior center Ethan Pesina, junior inside receiver Elias Huerta and sophomore running back Konlyn Anderson, who earned the utility player honor.
Henderson rushed for 1,029 yards and 14 touchdowns while catching eight passes for 77 yards and a touchdown; Pesina helped pave the way for an offense that averaged 26 points and 292 yards per outing; Huerta caught 14 passes for 157 yards; and Anderson finished with 287 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
Making the second-team defense for the Lions were sophomore inside linebacker Dryden Anderson, and senior safety Khyren Deal, while second-team special teams standouts were freshman kicker Junior Martinez and senior utility player Roman McKibben.
Anderson notched 60 tackles with five for loss, while Deal led the Lions with 98 tackles, including one for loss, and one interception. Martinez scored 33 points, converting 30 extra points and one field goal, while McKibben logged eight special teams tackles.
Receiving honorable mention from Brownwood were senior linebackers Trevor Evans and Reece Bolton, sophomore safety Taylor Bessent, and senior offensive linemen Jimi Brown and Brad Robinson.
Evans tallied 36 tackles with one sack, Bolton chalked up 78 tackles with four for loss, and Bessent finished with 56 tackles. Brown and Robinson helped Brownwood generate 152 passing yards and 140 rushing yards per game.
The rest of the district superlative awards included MVP Daelin Rader of Midlothian Heritage, Offensive MVP Jordan Rogers of Waco La Vega, Offensive Line MVP Carson Walker of Heritage, Defensive MVP Noah Gray of Heritage, Defensive Newcomer of the Year Kaden Brown of Heritage, and Special Teams MVP Trace Morrison of Stephenville.

The Lions finished their third season under head coach Sammy Burnett with a 4-6 overall mark, 2-2 in district, and advanced to the playoffs for the 12th year in a row.
