The Early Police Department issued the following press release Monday morning:
On Saturday October 31st Early Police Department officer Andres Contreras responded to the 100 block of Early Blvd. regarding 2 suspicious males looking into cars and asking people for money. The 2 males had begun walking into Brownwood and were located in the 400 block of East Commerce.
Officer Contreras was met by Brownwood PD Officer Salazar as a backup unit. While officers were questioning the 2 males, 1 male, Michael Ray Foshee broke and ran in attempt to get away.
Both officers pursued the suspect for a short distance then tackled Foshee near the roadway of east commerce. Foshee was taken into custody for evading. The investigation continued at which time methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia were located on both suspects.
Jerrod Levi Stembridge was arrested for Possession of controlled substance under a gram. Michael Ray Foshee was arrested for possession of controlled substance over a gram and under 4 grams. Evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
