The Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department and Lifeguard EMS responded to call shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday regarding a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. 377 South and Crockett Drive.
According to eye witnesses on the scene, the right turn signal light from Crockett onto 377 was green, however, a silver Chevy Impala proceeded straight toward the Stripes location, where the light was still red. At the point, that car was struck by a concrete truck, causing considerable damage. The truck suffered minor damage to its front bumper.
The roadway was briefly blocked, but the car was quickly moved off the roadway.
The female driver of the Impala was transported by Lifeguard to Brownwood Regional Medical Center with undisclosed injuries, though they did not appear life-threatening.
