On Friday, Sept. 18 at approximately 10:42 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke met with the complainant at the LEC. This was in reference to a burglary of a habitation and theft of a firearm report and investigation.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, Deputy Fabbiani stopped out with a vehicle that was sitting on the side of Hwy 279. The vehicle had a blow out rear tire and was parked on a hill just below a curve. The vehicle was towed for safety and a report has been done.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1:23 a.m., Corporal Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to 1050 W Commerce (Brown County Jail). This was in regards to an inmate on inmate assault. A report was taken.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at approximately 7:39 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Red Clay Rd. in Bangs. This was in reference to a complainant reporting an illegal dumping by phone.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at about 8:25 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at CR 605 in Brownwood. This was in regards to a theft. The officer spoke with an individual who stated her neighbor’s vehicle had been taken by a suspect.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at approximately 11:15 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 382 in Early. This was in reference to a missing person report and investigation.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at approximately 2:39 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to W. Kyle in Bangs. This was in reference to an assault report and investigation.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at about 3:46 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at CR 411W in Brownwood. This was in regards to Illegal Dumping and Terroristic Threat. The officer spoke to victim and complainant, who stated two suspects were dumping trash onto their property. The individuals confronted the suspects and one suspect pulled a knife out of the door of the vehicle.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at about 12:29 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at CR 605. This was in regards to a follow up. The officer spoke to a witness who stated she was concerned about a camper sitting on another property. The VIN located on the camper returned back as stolen. The camper was seized.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, Deputy Joe Thomas made contact with three suspicious individuals in the 3400 block of CR 234. While speaking with the individuals, the officer began to detect the strong odor of marijuana coming from their persons. After further investigation, 28 grams of marijuana was located and an individual was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana > 2oz. A report was made.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, at 4:29 p.m., Corporal Jayson Bastardo, and Deputy Scotty Burke were dispatched to Jordan Ln in Brownwood. This was in regards to criminal Mischief. The caller advised there were several juveniles vandalizing a hose east of their property at 7788 N 279. After further investigation, no juveniles were located in the residence. An information report was taken.
On Sunday, Sept. 20 at about 10:07 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at the Northlake community pool located at Iroquois Dr in Brownwood. This was in regards to criminal mischief. The officer spoke to the complainant, who stated he believes a suspect broke several beer bottles in the pool, playground, and the street.
On Sunday, Sept. 20 at approximately 9:49 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke #124, was dispatched to the area of FM 585 North. This was in reference to livestock running on the roadway.
On Sunday, Sept. 20, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a Burglary. The complainant advised his storage unit had been burglarized and several items were missing. A report was made.
On Sunday, Sept. 20 at 6:14 p.m., Corporal Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to the area of CR 146. This was in regards to illegal dumping. The caller advised someone is dumping trash in the water way, just before the county line. The trash was located at the block of CR 146. A report was taken.
On Monday, Sept. 21 at about 10:25 p.m., Deputy Simpson was notified of a pending call. The call was for someone shooting a firearm in the area of CR 606, possibly towards a residence. Upon arriving on scene, Deputy Simpson was notified a round was shot towards an individual. A report was made.
On Monday, Sept. 21, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to FM 590 for a welfare check. Once on scene, I discovered there was an unwanted subject at the residence, which was being destructive. The suspect was on probation and a probation clause search was conducted. Methamphetamine pipes and a scale were located and the suspect was arrested.
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to a report of a domestic in progress. Deputies arrived and learned no physical altercation occurred, but Terroristic Threat was made. The suspect left prior to deputies arriving and was not located. The suspect later returned saying he had been shot, but left again prior to deputies arriving. The suspect was located and had no gunshot wounds. A report was made.
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Deputy Toby Mathis was at Cottage St. This was in regards to motor vehicle accident call, which occurred in the County. Brownwood PD already had the subject detain prior to arrival. While speaking with he an individual, he grabbed the officer’s duty weapon holster. The individual was taken into custody for Brownwood PD charge, which occurred prior to arrival. He was also charged for attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer by BCSO.
